Tabuan traditional market, Cebu City
The buddies and us
There is actually no school on Saturday but since there will be no school on Tuesday because of Eid Al Adha and Ninoy Aquino day so the school has it off too on Monday and move it to Saturday instead. We did not come to school on Saturday since ma’am Rita said we were going on city tour. But it was raining all day so we just stayed inside. Around afternoon, one of our buddy here, Reggy, introduced us to our other buddies. They are so nice and friendly!
The next day we were taken to the traditional market near our place called Tabuan. There we bought some foods and necessities since its cheaper to get them there than the mall where we usually got them. and afterward we went around the city with one of the buddies, he showed us around all the places that many tourists visit.

DAY 8 & 9

August, 20 & 21 2018

Since these two days were holidays, we did more tour. On Monday, we had a tour around the school in the morning that was lead by our buddy here, Reggy, and then later on we checked out the nearby mosque where we would be doing our idul adha prayer. And it was quite hard to find since it’s located inside of small alley and that alley was quite unnoticeable. At the end we found it by asking around the locals.

Since ma’am Rita already hired a tour agency for us, we were told that we would be going on tour city by 1 p.m. we visited many places that day and everything left me in awe, Cebu City really is indeed a very beautiful city. The cultures from many different ethnics can be found here from European which dominates the architecture of the buildings here, and then there are also Asian like Chinese and the local culture that is Philippines.

The heritage of Cebu monument

Yap San Diego

this is actually the oldest house in Cebu and now is owned by Chinese couple and during the weekend it is closed but at night since the owner usually spend the weekend in this place, but its opened for public any day. this is one of the place that tourists mostly will visit when they come to Cebu.

it has a lot old china and lots of antiques, this house looks so fragile since its made from woods but the house keeper said they do fixing and stuff like that every month and back in 2014 when the big earthquake hit Cebu, there was no big damage in the house because it has been well taken care of. Amazing!

Jesuit House 1730

This is actually the old warehouse since the Spanish invaded Cebu long time ago and it still works till this day. There are some old paintings, antiques, and even the old movie projector. from the outside it looks like general warehouse but actually there is a museum and a cafe inside. this place will take you to 1700 era and i got the chills!

 Toist Temple

This temple is located in the hills area Cebu so it is quite far in the business of the city. This is one of the proof the influence of Chinese in Cebu. this place is actually quite sacred and we were not allowed to take picture in certain places like inside the temple so we just roamed around it. it is indeed a very beautiful place and the view from uphill is just wow.

Sirao flower farm - it's still located around the hill area, this place seems quite popular here and many people come here to take pictures. it is so beautiful!
Temple of Leah - its actually not done yet since there are some major constructions in the area and it was build in 2002 and still on its way of being finished. It's like you are transferred to Rome!

Exploring the mall with the buddies
The next day we went to the biggest mall here with the buddies called SM Mall Seaside. We spent our whole day having fun there. Over all, it was a really good day.
